At 4:30 am, your driver-guide will arrive at your hotel to take you to Musanze. A light breakfast is scheduled at Five Volcanoes Hotel at 7 am, after which you will head to Kinigi for a pre-trek briefing that occurs between 7:30 am and 8 am. Once the briefing is complete, you will embark on your gorilla trekking experience with a ranger guide, with a drive of at least 20 minutes required to reach the trekking starting point.
The gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park can take up to 4 hours, but it may last longer due to the unpredictable movement of the gorillas.
