We provide fully tailored safari experiences, including gorilla tours and various wildlife activities in Rwanda and Uganda. You can explore both countries simultaneously for an enhanced experience. During a gorilla trekking safari, you will have the opportunity to spend one hour with these magnificent animals. The trek usually begins at either 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m., depending on the country you choose. For example, in Uganda, the briefing occurs at 8 am, while in Rwanda, it takes place at 7 am, indicating that Uganda is one hour ahead of Rwanda, which is a crucial detail to note. As gorillas move through the forest, trackers follow them from the nests they constructed the night before. Ranger guides maintain communication with the trackers until your arrival, ensuring that the likelihood of missing a gorilla family is very low.

Gorilla Habituation Experience.
Gorilla habituation is done in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda in the Rushaga section. This Gorilla experience allows visitors to spend 4 hours with wild gorillas that are not yet fully accustomed to human presence. This Gorilla habituation takes about four years, and visitors participating in this experience play a big role in conservation. A significant number of Mountain gorillas that remain wild require a habituation process. The Mountain Gorilla habituation process takes over four years for gorillas to become fully accustomed to humans. This experience offers a unique opportunity to observe their behaviour and learn about the habituation process in the wild. Gorilla habituation is different from gorilla trekking. This full-day adventure usually begins as early as 6 a.m. and often extends throughout the day. Gorillas that are not fully habituated typically live at a distance from humans and can display aggressive behaviour when spotted. Their social structure mirrors that of habituated gorillas, generally led by a silverback male. This directs the group to safety, and visitors are strongly advised to maintain a distance of at least 10 meters from the gorillas at all times.

8 Days Uganda & Rwanda
This 8-day tour features double gorilla trekking in both countries, along with game drives and various wildlife experiences. We conduct other safaris in line with Gorilla tours. These include primate safaris to places like Nyungwe Forest in Rwanda with Chimpanzee tracking, Canopy walk and hiking in the nature trails. The Nile Congo trail from Gisenyi, exploring the shores of Lake Kivu and villages (a 271 km trail). Giswati Mukula National Park for golden monkey tours. Akagera National Park, on the other hand, is a point of interest. This is where you will spot the “Big Five” in Rwanda. Driving in Akagera National Park from the southern part of the Park to the North greatly rewards any visitor.

In Uganda, on the other hand, Queen Elizabeth National Park, best known for tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, with a launch cruise at the Kazinga channel, is another place to consider. Furthermore, more west in Uganda are the Ruwenzori Mountains — the highest mountain in Uganda and second in Africa at 5,109 metres, Margherita Peak. Anyone ready for the mountain gorilla trekking activity in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, or Mgahinga National Park in Uganda should know the rules before setting foot in the forest. These rules are uniform and therefore are in the interest of both the trekkers and the gorillas in the jungle.
Gorilla Tracking Rules
- Do not visit the gorillas if you have a cold or other infectious illness
- The minimum age for tracking gorillas is 15 years
- Human waste should be buried 30 cm deep
- The maximum number of visitors is 8 per Gorilla group
- Maintain 10 10-meter distance from the gorillas
- Smoking and eating are not permitted on the tour during gorilla viewing.
- Visits are limited to one hour per gorilla group per day
- Do not use flash photography
